The State Secretary for Defence Policy and Planning, Mircea Dusa, received Mr. Eric Stewart, the President of the American Romanian Business Council (AMRO) , at the defence ministry, on Wednesday, February 15.

They discussed the very good level of the Romanian-American defence cooperation and agreed its economic dimension should be doubled.

In this respect, State Secretary Dusa invited the specialized firms within AMRO to invest in the Romanian defence industry for the modernization of the military.

The context was regarded as a highly favorable one due to the 2 percent of the GDP allotted for defence, 40 percent of which are to be directed into procurement and modernization.
Both sides agreed to continue the dialogue that proved highly useful and constructive.
