Captain Cristian Dan PR officer of the 812th Infantry Battalion transmitted the followings:
Friday, August 27, 04 the Romanians from Eagles of Carpathians 812th Infantry Battalion camped in White Horse camp were visited by a military delegation headed by British Major General William Rollo commander of the Southeast Multinational Divisition and his deputy Italian Brigade General Leonardo di Marco and Division staff officers.

The aim of the visit is the finding out of the situation in the Romanian area of responsibility, the real capacity of the Romanian component from ITJTF and the difficulties our militaries have during their missions.

The military delegation was informed by Lieutenant Colonel Dorin Blaiu, commander of 812th Infantry Battalion on the experience gained in their international missions in Angola, Kosovo and Afghanistan and the present missions and capabilities, the specific of the operational environment in Iraq.
The British General met the Romanians and stated: the situation in the area is going to improve, but now we can not be sure about the future evolutions. Our mission is to be ready for any possibility, doesn't matter the situation would improve or not, our tasks will be the security in the area of responsibility for the coalition forces to be free to move, for the support of the local population and the training of the Iraqi Forces of Security.

At the end of the visit General Rolllo participated together with the Romanians to a patrol mission having the possibility to know the Romanian military equipment and the way of action of our militaries.
