Exercise with American Helicopters at Mihail Kogalniceanu Postponed

Due to bad weather conditions along the route, the training of Romanian and US troops for loading maneuvers and assault operations with helicopters scheduled initially on Tuesday, February 28, at 13.15, was postponed and will take place on Wednesday, March 1, at 13.20.

The types of helicopers involved are UH-60 Black Hawk of the 3rd Battalion, 10th Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade of the US Army and they are travelling on the route Salonic, Greece Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base.

The 10th Combat Aviation Brigade is the first large unit of its kind deployed in Eastern Europe as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, with over 2,200 troops, 86 helicopters and over 700 military equipment that left several ports in the USA heading to Germany, Latvia and Romania, as a demonstration of continued U.S. commitment to collective stability and security in Eastern Europe.

Journalists interested in participating in the event for footage and declarations of the Romanian and US troops who already sent the information needed for accreditation are expected at the main gate of Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base on Wednesday, March 1, between 12.30 and 12.45.
