A detachment of soldiers of 307th Infantry Marine Battalion headed by Lieutenant Alexandru Taban will participate in Summer Shield Multinational Exercise through April 13th-30th.

The Romanian infantry marines will conduct combat support planning and coordination training activities during defensive operations together with almost 1,000 soldiers from Bulgaria, Canada, Estonia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg and the United States of America.

The exercise's main goal, conducted in Adazi military base from Latvia, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Gert Savins , commander of Latvian Support Battalion, is to increase the collective training level and interoperability in the field of operations, at tactical level, acting as a support force.
