On Thursday, April 20th, starting 11.00, at the Secondary Combat Training Center from Smardan, Galati County, there will be a ceremony to mark the arrival of the first American rotational detachment that is part of the US European Reassurance Initiative (ERI) as well as the DVD of Justice Eagle 17 Exercise.

Romanian officials and representatives of the US Embassy to Romania and of the USAREUR will attend the ceremony.

The distinguished visitors will witness a live fire exercise conducted with M1A2 Abrams and TR-85 M1 Bizonul tanks, M2A3 Bradley and MLI-84 M Jderul Fighting Vehicles, 155 mm M109A6 Paladin artillery system and 152 mm howitzers, supported by MiG-21 LanceR aircraft and IAR 330 Puma helicopters.

There will be a military armament and equipment exhibition after the exercise and also opportunities for interviews and press statements.
