The Romanian-American Exercise Dacian Eagle 2017 started at the 71st Air Base in Campia Turzii, on June 19.

Dacian Eagle 2017 brings together about Romanian 200 troops, pilots and technical staff with MiG-21 LanceR aircraft and IAR-330 Puma helicopters (SOCAT si MEDEVAC) from the 71st Air Base and about 300 American soldiers with F-15 aircraft and the additional equipment, part of 159th Fighter Squadron Jacksonville Air National Guard, Florida.

The bilateral exercise that will last until the end of August, gives Romanian soldiers the possibility to exercise techniques, tactics and standard procedures in agreement with NATO standards, by carrying out flights side by side with the American partner.
