Ceremony at the Authority Transfer of the Polish Military Contingent

A ceremony is organized in Craiova, at 09.00 hrs., on Thursday, July 6, to mark the transfer of authority from the Polish military contingent to 26th Neagoe Basarab Infantry Battalion of the Multinational Brigade South-East.

The Polish military contingent, that will be deployed in Romania for about six months, contributes to ensuring a consolidated presence to the South-East of the Alliance, in agreement with the measures taken at NATO Summit in Warsaw.

The event will take place in the presence of officials from the defence ministry, representatives of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces and local administration.

Poland participates with a 225 strong contingent and 47 technical means to the 26th Neagoe Basarab Infantry Battalion of the Multinational Brigade South-East, in agreement with the pledges made by Romania and Poland at NATO Summit in Warsaw.

The Polish troops will train along the troops of the Multinational Brigade South-East, as part of enhancing the tailored Forward Presence of NATO.
