A ceremony for the inauguration of infrastructure projects financed by the United States is organized at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, from 15.00 hrs., on Monday, July 17.

The ten 4.6 US dollars worth projects, that are finished or under way, are budgeted through the European Reassurance Initiative (ERI). The new constructions include facilities for aircraft maintenance, equipment warehouses, car fleet, car wash station or classrooms.

The journalists accredited to this event through the accreditation procedure mentioned in the press release on the media events associated to SG17 (Press Release No. 176 of June 23) are expected at Mihail Kogalniceanu Air Base, between 14.00 and 14.30 hrs., on Monday, July 17. The presence of US troops in Europe was enhanced due to ERI, which led to the increase of the number of bilateral and multinational exercises and the improvement of the military infrastructure.
