On the occasion of the Day of the Romanian Aviation and the Air Force, and the religious celebration of Prophet Elijah, the spiritual protector of the airmen, the Air Force Staff organizes different events that will takes place according to the following program:

- Thursday, July 20, between 10.00 and 11.00 hrs. - military and religious wreath-laying ceremony at the Monument of the Aviation Heroes, in Aviators' Square in Bucharest. Military aircraft of the Air Force, of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Romanian Intelligence Service as well as the Aerobatic Yakers will fly during the ceremomy.

- Wednesday, July 19 aviation training over the Monument of the Aviation Heroes in Aviators' Square with the participation of servicemen and aircraft of the Air Force, of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Romanian Intelligence Service.

The Romanian National Aviation Museum organizes from 09.00 to 16.00 hrs., over July 18 to September 30, the exhibition Aeronautica romana in timpul marilor batalii de la Marasti, Marasesti si Oituz (Romanian aeronautics at the time of the great battles of Marasti, Marasesti and Oituz). The exhibition displays photos, documents and representative objects and the visitors will have the opportunity to find out details about the heroes of aeronautics and their deeds.

All the units subordinated to the Air Force Staff will celebrate the event through military and religious ceremonies, sports contests, symposiums and specific military traditional activities.
