A meeting took place between representatives of the Competition Council and the Ministry of National Defence on Monday, July 24. The three chiefs of departments took place at the meeting on behalf of the defence ministry, namely state secretaries Mircea Dusa, Nicolae Nasta and Florin Vladica.

The topic of the meeting that took place at the Competition Council was the analysis of the current national and European legal provisions in the field of public acquisitions, applicable to defence procurement in Romania.

The discussions are part of a larger series of meetings requested by the defence minister, Adrian Țutuianu, in preparation of the legislative initiatives that should ensure that the acquisition procedures are in compliance with the European regulations on defence procurement.
