A meeting took place between the defence minister, Adrian Țutuianu and representatives of the National Agency of Public Acquisitons at the Ministry of National Defence headquarters, on Monday, July 24.

State secretaries Nicolae Nasta, chief of the Department for Parliament Liaison and Public Information and Florin Vladica, chief of the Department for Armament participated in the meeting on behalf of the defence ministry.

The meeting took place as part of the preparations to harmonize and optimize the legal framework applicable to the military acquisition procedures regarding the main procurement programs of the Romanian Armed Forces.

Minister Adrian Țutuianu highlighted in this respect the importance of developing a legislative framework tailored to the particulars of military acquisitions, that should make a priority of the national defence industry and make it comply with the European directives in the field.
