The Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, had a meeting with the Canadian Ambassador to Romania, Kevin Hamilton, at the defence ministry, on Tuesday, October 17.

The talks focused on topics high on the bilateral aganda but also on the cooperation within NATO. Minister Mihai Fifor spoke highly of the Canadian support in implementing the allied decisions in consolidating the eastern flank and especially the contribution of the Royal Canadian Air Forces to the enhanced Air Police mission over September to December 2017 and the military contribution to the Multinational Command South-East and the Multinational Brigade in Craiova.

The participation of our servicemen, wounded or injured in theaters of operations, in the paralympic Games Invictus 2017 had deep national significance and I avail myself of the opportunity to thank Canada for the good cooperation in this respect were the words of the defence minister.
