On Monday, November 13th, the Minister of National Defence Mihai Fifor will participate in the meetings of the Foreign Affairs Council and the Steering Committee of the European Defence Agency in defence ministers format taking place in Brussels.

The activity will start with a signing ceremony of the Notification Document by the High Representative of the EU and the Council concerning the association of the interested parties to the Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO). The defence ministers will participate together with the foreign affairs ministers of the EU member states in a working breakfast when they will discuss topics related to the implementation of the Global Strategy of the European Union on security and defence. During the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council to be attended by NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, they will discuss the progress of the EU NATO relations.

During the meeting of the Steering Committee of EDA, they will discuss current topics related to the development of military capabilities at European level, mainly in the context of the latest developments of the Common Security and Defence Policy.
