The activity is a good opportunity to enhance the Romanian-Hungarian startegic partnership and to make the most of the good neighbourly relations.

The two armed forces have a history of over 15 years of military cooperation within the regional initiatives: The Mixed Romanian-Hungarian Peacekeeping Battalion and the Multinational Engineer Battalion “TISA” that work to promote the good neighbourly relations, the peace and stability of the area. The two countries also participate in missions in theaters of operations along NATO partners and allies.
