The Romanian Chief of Defence Visits Hungary

General Nicolae Ciuca, the chief od Defence makes a working visit to Hungary over November 15 to 16, at the invitation of his Hungarian counterpart, General Tibor Benko.

The topics to be taken into discussion are concrete ways of military cooperation between the Romanian and Hungarian military and continuing bilateral and regional projects.

The activity is a good opportunity to enhance the Romanian-Hungarian startegic partnership and to make the most of the good neighbourly relations.

The two armed forces have a history of over 15 years of military cooperation within the regional initiatives: The Mixed Romanian-Hungarian Peacekeeping Battalion and the Multinational Engineer Battalion TISA that work to promote the good neighbourly relations, the peace and stability of the area. The two countries also participate in missions in theaters of operations along NATO partners and allies.
