Military parade organized in Bucharest to celebrate Romania's National Day

Aproximately 3,500 servicemen and specialists from the Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Romanian Intelligence Service, with over 350 equipment pieces (50 out of which are aircraft) and military personnel from serveral allied and partner armed forces will participate on Friday, December 1st, starting 11.00, in the military parade organized to celebrate Romania's National Day, in the Arch of Triumph Square, from Bucharest.

Over 300 foreign servicemen participating in the parade are part of the armed forces of Bulgaria, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Republic of Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, USA, Turkey and Ukraine.

This year, the Multinational Division Southeast participates alongside representatives of the allied states: Albania, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey, Great Britain and The United States of America.

A religious and military wreath-laying ceremony will be organized at the Unknown Soldier's Grave, in Carol I Park, on Friday, starting 08.00.

Also, following the request of the local authorities, MoND representatives will participate in the preparation, organization and conduct of the military and religious wreath-laying ceremonies, in meetings with veterans of the theaters of operations and war veterans, marches and military equipment and weaponry exhibitions in some of the garrisons where the formations and military units are located.

On the occasion of Romania's National Day, the National Flag will be hoisted in all military institutions all over the country, while the ships will be dressed in full panoply. The soldiers deployed in missions in the theaters of operations will organize military ceremonies and specific activities.
