Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, met with the Ambassador of the Popular Republic of China, Xu Feihong, on Wednesday, December 6th, at the MoND headquarters.

The two officials had an exchange of views on topics of common interest and focused on opportunities to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of defence. In this respect, ways of enhancing collaboration on personnel's training for the participation in peace-keeping missions and common exercises, as well as in the fields of military education and military medicine were tackled. Aspects related to the contribution with troops and equipment in the UN-led peace-keeping missions were also approached during the talks.

Minister Mihai Fifor and Ambassador Xu Feihong agreed on the necessity to continue the political-military dialogue at the level of the defence ministries of the two states.
