On Wednesday, December 13th, State Secretary Nicolae Nasta received a delegation of journalists from the Republic of Moldova who pay a documentation visit to Romania, over 10 to 16 December.

Nicolae Nasta congratulated, in the MoND's name, the opening of the Liaison Office of the North-Atlantic Organization Treaty in the Republic of Moldova, Chisinau. In his opinion, this will contribute to the consolidation of the political dialogue and the practical cooperation with NATO, without affecting the principle of the constitutional neutrality of the Republic of Moldova.

Also, State Secretary Nasta emphasized the fact that Romania supports the Republic of Moldova's efforts with a view of joining EU and its collaboration with the North-Atlantic Organization. The activity conducted today makes the most of the bilateral partnership, which is very important for us, the state secretary concluded.

The visit of the thirteen journalists from the Republic of Moldova is conducted at the initiative of Information and Documentation Center on NATO, from Chisinau. The delegation agenda consists in paying visits to certain representative units for all three Services of the Romanian Armed Forces as well as to several military educational institutions.

Also, mass-media representatives from the Republic of Moldova will participate in a round-table talk entitled The way the national and NATO military topics are reflected into mass-media, together with representatives of the civilian and military press, NATO Public Diplomacy Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carol I National Defence University and the University of Bucharest.
