The Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, had a meeting with H.E. Paul Brummell, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, at the defence ministry, on Wednesday, February 7th.

The talks agenda included topics related to the bilateral cooperation and within NATO.

Minister Fifor spoke highly of the British constant military presence in Romania, in the terrestrial, maritime and air dimension, and especially the support to implement NATO presence in the Black Sea region.

The two officials had an exchange of opinions on enhancing cooperation between Romania and the UK, both at allied and bilateral level.

On the occasion of this meeting, the defence minister extended the invitation that the British Secretary of Defence, Gavin Williamson, should visit Romania in the near future.
