The Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, received the Ambassador of the Italian Republic in Romania, Marco Giungi, at the ministry headquarters, on Friday, February 9th.

During the meeting, the two officials addressed topics high on the bilateral agenda, as well as aspects related to NATO and the EU. As to the allied context, minister Fifor expressed his appreciation for the support Italy has given iny manning the multinational brigade in Craiova and highlighted Romania's support for the unitary approach, in a 360 degree concept, of the threats to the security and stability of the North Atlantic Alliance.

The Romanian minister told Ambassador Giungi how highly he appreciated NATO Defense College in Rome, which he had visited last year, an institution that is an important milestone in the training of specialists from NATO and partner countries, at high academic standards in security and defence matters.
