Minister Mihai Fifor will be on an official visit to Israel on February 26-28, at the invitation of his Israeli counterpart Avigdor Lieberman.

The main topics approached at the ministerial level will be the bilateral cooperation in the defence and medicine fields, especially in the technical - military segment, and the evolution of the international security situation, which requires strengthening the dialogue within the international organizations.

The Romanian delegation's program includes a meeting with the head of the Defence and Foreign Policy Committee from the Israeli Parliament, Avi Dichter, a visit to the Holocaust martyrs and heroes Monument in Jerusalem, and a meeting with the Archimandrite Theofil Anastasoaie, the representative of the Romanian Patriarchate at the Holy Places.

This year, Romania and Israel celebrate 70 years of uninterrupted diplomatic relations.
