The Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, received the Ambassador of Germany in Romania, Cord Meier-Klodt, at the defence ministry HQ, Tuesday, March 20th . During the meeting the two officials discussed the prospects of developing bilateral cooperation and also within NATO and the EU.

Minister Fifor used the opportunity to stress the firm commitment to implment the decisions made at Warsaw Summit and the efforts Romania continues to make in preparing the next Brussels Summit of July this year, to ensure the security of NATO eastern flank. He also insisted on the actions meant to achieve the NATO enhanced forward presence in the region and thanked the German side for the support they offered in implementing the Romanian initiatives.
