The Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, received Ilir Tepelena, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Romania, at the defence ministry, on Monday, March 26th.

During the meeting, the two officials approached priority themes on the bilateral agenda, as well as aspects related to the cooperation within NATO. As to the allied context, Minister Fifor expressed his appreciation for Albania's support in manning the allied structures hosted by Romania and highlighted Romania's support for the unitary approach to the threats to the security and stability of the North Atlantic Alliance.

On this occasion, Minister Mihai Fifor noted the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation on defence and the need to continue the joint effort to counter threats to the security of the Alliance, and in particular to the extended Black Sea region.
