Each year, on April 23rd, the Land Forces, whose spiritual patron is Saint George, celebrate their service day.

On this occasion, all garissons across the country and the troops deployed in theaters of operations in Afghanistan organize festivities dedicated to this day, consisting of exhibitions, documentary films, drill teams, military equipment and weapons, military wreath-laying ceremonies at the heroes' monuments, concerts held by military bands and shows performed by the artistic groups of military clubs.

In Bucharest, the Land Forces Staff organizes several events to mark the Day of the Land Forces.
