The Romanian Chief of Defence, General Nicolae Ciuca, will make a working visit in Turkey, over May 9th to 11th, at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart.

The two officials will discuss ways of developing bilateral military cooperation and the involvement of the two countries in initiatives and projects to strengthen regional security.

On this occasion, General Nicolae Ciuca will participate in the Distinguished Visitors' Day, as part of the multinational exercise EFES 2018.

Also as part of this event, a Bulgarian-Romanian-Turkish meeting will take place when the delegations will analyze the regional security situation including the extended Black Sea region, the stage of military cooperation among the three countries in fighting terrorism and the current security developments in NATO.
