Defence minister Mihai Fifor will be present at the Distinguished Visitors' Day of Exercise SALAMIS STORM (SALSTO) 18 organized in Nea Peramos Attica, Greece, on Wednesday, June 6th.

During his visit, the defence minister will be accompanied by the chief of Defence Staff, General Nicolae Ciuca.

SALSTO-18 is a multinational training exercise conducted over May 31st to June 9th, that brings together Special Operations forces from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania and Serbia.

The exercise will strengthen the cooperation relations of the countries involved in order to up to the challenges specific to peacekeeping operations and to be able to find solutions to the crises of the present security environment.

Romania participates in this exercise with a detachment of 14 servicemen.
