The Chief of Defence at the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum

General Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca, the Chief of Defence Staff, participates in the second edition of the Black Sea and Balkans Security Forum, one of the greatest events in Romania on the security in the Black Sea region and the Balkans that is organized in Constanta, over June 14th to 15th.

Present at the activity will be the Italian Chief of Defence, General Claudio Graziano, the former SACEUR, General (Ret.) Philip M. Breedlove, Lieutenant General Jan Broeks, chief of NATO International Military Staff, Lieutenant General Luciano Portolano, Chief of Staff of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, as well as the Deputy Commander of the Mediterranean Maritime Zone, France, Rear Admiral Jean-Frederic Plobner.

During the regional security forum, the experts will discuss the classical and emerging security threats in the Black Sea region and the Balkans.

This event's agenda, organized by the New Strategy Center, includes topics related to the regional security situation, the challenges posed by the hybrid war, the militarisation of Black Sea and its influence on the security of the area, energy security, economic cooperation in the Balkans and the Black Sea, risks and challenges to the financial environment, cyber-security, and industrial defence cooperation.
