The Minister of National Defence, Mihai Fifor, will make an official visit in Germany over July 4th to 6th, at the invitation of his German counterpart, Ursula von der Leyen.

Minister Fifor will be accompanied by the chief of Defence Staff, General Nicolae Ciuca and a delegation consisting of chiefs of central structures, officers and commanders.

The discussions with the German side will focus mainly on aspects regarding security in the Black Sea region, the prospects of development of bilateral defence relations, including at technical and military level. They will also highlight the cooperation projects with the EU, especially regarding defence cooperation with the European countries.

As for NATO, they will stress the need to continue the steps made to ensure stability and security in the Black Sea region and maintaining this topic on the agenda of the next Summit to take place in July.
