Medical Delegation from People’s Republic of China, on official visit to Romania

On Thursday, September 6th, State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Mircea Duša, received the visit of a medical delegation from the People’s Republic of China’s Defence Ministry, headed by Major General Chen Jingyuan, General Manager of the Medical Service.

The visit was made following the invitation of the MoND Medical Directorate, as part of the Cooperation Plan between the Romanian and Chinese Ministries of National Defence.

Current and common interest topics from the fields of military medicine and medical-military educational system were approached during the official talks.

” Among the practical fields of cooperation, we excelled in the military medicine one. We also have a good cooperation relation in the fields of education and military history and we would like to enhance this collaboration. I hope this visit will help identify new ways of practical cooperation among the military hospitals of our countries”, Mircea Duša stated.

The State Secretary emphasized the fact that Romania and The People’s Republic of China participate together in UN-led missions, thus, significantly contributing to the increase of stability and peace consolidation in the designated instability areas.

The Chinese delegation is scheduled to be in Romania though 6-9 September, and the programme includes talks on medical topics between Brigadier General Physician Ionel Oprea, Chief of Medical Directorate, and Major General Chen Jingyua, and two visits – at “Carol Davila” Central Military Emergency Hospital from Bucharest, and “Regina Maria” Military Emergency Hospital from Brașov.
