Invictus Games Sydney 2018 gold for the Romanian team

The team who represented Romania at Sydney Invictus Games, Australia, through October 20-27, won several medals and scored very good results at the disciplines in which they competed, as follows:

At individual archery, Corporal Eugen Patru won the gold medal, while Major Danut Nicola, Staff Sergeant Catalin Parvu and Corporal Eugen Patru ranked the second, at team competition, thus, gaining the silver medal.

At compound archery, the team made up of Colonel (rtr) Dorin Petrut, Colonel Augustin Pegulescu and Staff Sergeant Ionut Butoi won the gold medal, while at the individual competition, Colonel (rtr) Dorin Petrut won the bronze medal.

At indoor rowing discipline, First Sergeant Dumitru Paraschiva won the bronze medal at the 4 minute individual endurance race, followed by Captain Ciprian Iriciuc, who ranked 4.

First Sergeant (rez) Ionel Bida qualified in the finals of the 50 meter- backstroke and 50 meter- breaststroke races, where he ranked 4, at both competitions.

At the athletics competition, Sergeant First Class Bogdan Dragomir ranked 5 in the 200 meter final, Lieutenant Colonel Laurentiu Serban ranked 4 in the 1500 meter and the 400 meter finals. Also, First Sergeant Doru Hamza ranked 4 in the 1500 meter final, while Sergeant First Class Bogdan Dragomir ranked 6 in the 100 meter race.
