On Monday, November 5th, Defence Minister Mihai Fifor participated at the opening of the Annual Meeting of the Romanian Defence Attachs entitled The Defence Attache Institution in the Year of Romania's Centennial.

The Minister of National Defence thanked the military attaches for their important activity conducted in the countries they are accredited to, having a special contribution to the promotion of Romania's foreign policy and security, alongside their colleagues from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Minister Mihai Fifor also pointed out the measures taken by the military diplomats in implementing the ministry's projects organized in the context of the Great Union Centennial, mainly in the field of honoring the memory of the Romanian heroes fell outside the national borders but also the cultural events organized in collaboration with other authorities of the Romanian state.

During the reunion, minister Fifor reviewed the current security situation which he considered a complicated one, with important challenges posed to the South-Eastern Flank of the North-Atlantic Alliance and in the Black Sea Region, and enumerated the MoND objectives which are to be accomplished the following year.
