Romania, at NATO Charity Bazaar

Romania, as well as the other NATO state members and partners, was represented at the NATO Charity Bazaar, a charity action, with a tradition of than more than 50 years, at the New NATO Headquarters from Brussels, Belgium.

This year, 35 countries organized national stands and presented their traditional products as attractively as possible, in order to convince the 4,000 visitors to donate to the charity fund.

Following the votes of the members of the Charity Bazaar General Assembly, five charitable associations from Belgium and international sixteen ones out of long list of associations which requested support were chosen to participate in the bazaar. Thus, part of the funds raised on this occasion will be used in support of the disadvantaged and vulnerable children from the rural areas as well as of the children and youth living in isolated villages who will be offered a chance to education through art and culture.

The activity was organized by the personnel assigned to Romania's Representations to NATO and EU, with the support of the MoND and of the companies and associations from Romania which accepted the invitation to participate in the event with their own and unique traditional products, so that our country's stand was well represented this year, too.

Our country's stand was also special due to the military caricaturist Cristian Vecerdea, who drew portraits of the visitors of the Romanian stand at NATO Charity Bazaar.
