Defence Ministers Gabriel Les will participate in the Informal Meeting of Defence Ministers 28-29 August 2019, Helsinki, Finland.

The Reunion will be chaired by the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the Commission, Federica Mogherini, and attended by NATO's General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg, and the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix.

The reunion agenda will consists in a series of working sessions that will approach topics on the coordinated maritime presence, artificial intelligence and new technologies as well as the impact of climatic changes and the surrounding environment on security and defence.

Also, on the second part of the reunion, on August 29, there will be a common working session together with the foreign ministers, which will focus on current concerns in the field of hybrid threats.
