Lieutenant Colonel Sorin Bacila, PR officer of the Romanian contingent in Iraq transmitted the followings:

The Romanian Engineering militaries from IRAQI FREEDOM mission acting under the Center South Multinational Division operational subordination continue their successful activity. Thus, in the last week they performed building works in Alpha camp near Al Hillah for arranging the platform for accommodation area and auto park for the Salvadorian contingent.

The Romanian militaries lead by Lieutenant Catalin Sogor performed some works for protecting the vehicles on two bridges on Bagdad-Basra route for the use of a Latvian unit. Thus, 18 engineering militaries raised protection walls and JERSEY type barriers. Due to all these works the military convoys and the civil vehicles can move safely on this route. During their mission they have been protected by the Latvian militaries.

The Romanian militaries acting for the reconstruction of Iraq continue to have a good state of mind.
