Captain Eugen Ispas, PR officer of the “Bold Eagles” 281st Infantry Battalion in mission in Afghanistan transmitted:

Saturday, September 25, 04 the “Bold Eagles” 281st Infantry Battalion dislocated in Afghanistan within Enduring Freedom V operation have been visited by three military doctors, specialists in a clinic from Kandahar international base.

Colonel Richard Gonzales, Major Bryden Henderson and Captain Gretchen Ritter were received by Lieutenant Colonel Constantin Caramidariu, commander of the Battalion and by Captain Doctor Viorel Parlea, doctor in chief.

The scope of this visit is the mutual acquaintance, the exchange of experience on professional training, medical assistance and identification of common therapeutic proceedings.

The program consisted in presentation of the Romanian medical personnel, endowment of infirmary and stomatology cabinet, the main therapeutic protocols used in campaign conditions. The US guests appreciated the professional compatibility of the Romanian medical staff.

In the camp, the delegation also visited the library, the reading hall, the radio station and the military exhibition of the Battalion.
