Minister of National Defence, Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca, continued the series of meetings with the ambassadors accredited to Bucharest, in the context of the consolidation of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence, on Monday, 25 November.

The visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Bucharest, Michele Ramis, was a good opportunity to discuss common interest topics regarding cooperation with France both at bilateral level as well as within allied context and at European Union level. During the meeting, the officials emphasized the importance of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and France and tackled the perspectives of enhancing cooperation in the field of defence as essential elements for the security and stability of our country and the region Romania is part of.

The meeting of the defence minister with the Ambassador of the United Mexican States to Romania, Jose Guillermo Ordorica Robles, brought up the perspectives of the increase of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence, with focus on the cooperation in the naval field. The two officials reviewed the common interest elements the international security environment, agreeing upon the need to consolidate cooperation in support of defence.
