Minister of National Defence, Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca, received the visit of the Turkish Ambassador to Romania, Fusun Aramaz, on Tuesday, 26 November, at the MoND Headquarters.

During the meeting, the two officials talked about the evolution of the Romanian-Turkish cooperation both at regional level and within NATO. Also, the officials emphasized the firmness of the Strategic Partnership between the two states and the importance of defence cooperation in the field of security as strategic partners and allies within NATO, in a difficult regional context.

The talks focused on the status and development perspectives of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence. Minister of National Defence thanked for Turkey's participation in the multinational naval exercises conducted in the Black Sea and for the availability to continue develop the cooperation programs in fields of common interest.
