On Friday, 13 December, the Minister of National Defence, Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca, received the Ambassador of Hungary to Romania, Botond Zakonyi, at the MoND Headquarters.

An increased cooperation in the field of defence at bilateral level, in regional context, as well as within the North-Atlantic Alliance and European Union formats, was among the topics listed on the meeting agenda.

The Romanian defence minister thanked the Hungarian Ambassador for the contribution brought by his country to the consolidation of the Eastern Flank of the Alliance by contributing with troops to the Allied C2 structures deployed on our territory.
The two officials emphasized the usefulness of the political-military dialogue and the importance of the continuation and enhancement of the practical cooperation between the two armed forces, including by conducting exercises at bilateral and multinational levels.
