Defence Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca had a meeting with the president of Lockheed Martin, Marillyn Hewson Company on Tuesday, 14 January, at the MoND Headquarters.

The topics listed on the talks agenda aimed at the implementation status of the on-going procurement programs run with the help of this company, as well as the programs that are currently in the stage of operation and support, the Multirole Aircraft F-16, the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System - HIMARS, PATRIOT Systems, the long-range radars or the radars for surveillance at small and medium heights.

Also, the officials analyzed legal aspects related to the industrial cooperation opportunities which could involve the national defence industry in the manufacturing, assembly and maintenance of certain equipment (which is in the company's portfolio) which is/or is about to enter the service of the Romanian Armed Forces.
