The meeting of the State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations with the Ambassadors of France and the Kingdom of Morocco to Bucharest

State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru, had a meeting with the Ambassadors of France and the Kingdom of Morocco to Romania, E.S. Michèle Ramis, respectively E.S. Hassan Abouyoub, on Tuesday, 3 March. During the meeting, the officials talked about the common endeavors of the two states regarding the organization of the Ministerial Conference from Rabat on the peace-keeping efforts in the francophone space.

The State Secretary thanked for having been invited to this event and emphasized the importance Romania gives to the security and stability in Africa as well as to the peace-keeping missions conducted in this region under the aegis of the UNO and EU. Also, the State Secretary highlighted the contribution of the MoND to the UNO and EU-led missions on the African continent, especially to the MINUSMA and EUTM missions from Mali. In the same context, the State Secretary reiterated Romania's support for rendering G5 Sahel Force operational.

At the same time, the parties expressed their commitments for continuing the political-military dialogue with a view of consolidating cooperation at bilateral level and within UNO.
