Defence Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca met with the Ambassador of Great Britain to Bucharest, E.S. Andrew Noble on 13th July, at the MoND Headquarters.

The visit paid by the British diplomat represented a good opportunity to discuss topics of common interest regarding the cooperation with Great Britain both at bilateral and Allied levels as well as within the context of the pandemics.

Also, the officials highlighted the importance of the Strategic Partnership between Romania and Great Britain as well as the cooperation lines in the field of defence as essential elements for the security and stability of our country and region Romania is part of, in the current context generated by the COVID-19 pandemics.

At the end of the meeting, the two officials appreciated the level of the talks, at the same time expressing their availability in continuing consultations on common interest topics for both parties.

The meeting is part of the periodic talks calendar of the defence minister with the ambassadors accredited to Bucharest.
