A detachment made up of 140 soldiers of the 2nd Infantry Battalion Calugareni, 1st Mechanized Brigade Argedava and 21 pieces of equipment participate in Saber Junction 20 Multinational Exercise (SJ20), which has been conducted in the Hohenfels Training Center, Germany, over 2nd 27th August.

The exercise, which will be involve 4,500 troops from nine countries (Albania, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Romania, USA and Ukraine), will be conducted by strictly respecting the measures taken in order to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The main goal of SJ20 is to evaluate capability of 173rd US Airborne Brigade Combat Team in conducting joint and combined ground operations and demonstrate cohesion and interoperability with the allied and partner participating nations.

Exercise SJ20 contributes to the increase of European security and promotes stability in the region, by means of multinational training activities conducted by the allied and partner solders.
