State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru, received the Ambassador of the Republic of India in Romania, Rahul Shrivastava, on presentation visit, on Tuesday, 15th September.

The two officials approached the developments of the security environment in the context of the COVID-19 pandemics and the current status of defence bilateral cooperation as well as ways of consolidating the bilateral legal framework by closing the Agreement between Romania and the Republic of India on cooperation in the military field and other adjacent papers.

The Romanian official emphasized that Romania and India have common perspectives on the contribution to regional and global stability, mentioning, in this context, the combat against terrorism and participation of the two countries in the UN-led peace-keeping missions.
