The doctor who had been working at Piatra Neamt County Hospital and was injured in the fire which started in the medical care facility yesterday, by suffering serious burns, was transferred to Queen Astrid Military Hospital from Brussels for specialty treatment, on Sunday, November 15th.

The patient was transferred with a C-27J Spartan aircraft belonging to the Romanian Air Force, in special conditions, with medical assistance provided by a MoND and SMURD Bucharest team, throughout the flight.

The aircraft took off from the 9th Airlift Base on Sunday morning, at 7.30.

The patient will be taken over by the Belgian military doctors who will establish the therapy and medical care that must be provided, after applying all medical evaluation procedures.
