The Ministry of National Defence donated to the Republic of Moldova's Ministry of Defence sanitary protection material, in the context of the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemics. Thus, the MoND representatives handed over to their counterparts from the Republic of Moldova medical protection material (overalls, FFP2-type masks, medical masks and face shields), as well as other sanitary goods.

This new tranche of material donated adds to the step initiated in April 2020 and is part of the package of support measures offered to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, reiterated by the President of Romania, on the occasion of his visit to Chisinau.

Thus, Romania reiterated its commitment of supporting the authorities from the Republic of Moldova, including in its efforts of combating the effects generated by the pandemic crisis.

At the end of April 2020, the Ministry of National Defence contributed with medical personnel and 10 isoletes manufactured in Romania, as part of the effort initiated by the Romanian state in support of the Republic of Moldova in order to prevent and combat the spread SARS-CoV2 virus.
