State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru, had a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Romania, Laurence Auer, on Wednesday, January 6th.

During the meeting, the officials reviewed the status of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence as well as the current topics listed on NATO and EU agendas. The interlocutors emphasized the events and progresses made over the last year, reiterating the excellent bilateral relations and the commitment for their further development, within the framework provided by the Strategic Partnership Roadmap between Romania and France, which was updated in November 2020, on the occasion of the Romanian Prime Minister's visit to Paris.

The two officials agreed to have periodic bilateral consultations on common interest topics.
