A Romanian Air Force C-27J Spartan conducted, on January 16th, a flight in order to bring to Romania sanitary equipment from Qatar necessary for the vaccination campaign, consisting in 250, 000 syringes and 100,000 needles.

The material was procured by the Romanian state by means of the National Office for Centralized Acquisitions and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (GIES), following the request of the National Committee for the Coordination of Vaccination Process against SARS-CoV-2 virus, as part of the efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemics.

The equipment will be distributed to the community vaccination centers with the GIES means of transportation.
