Defence Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca received the visit of the chief of National Security Office of the Republic of Poland, Pawe³ Soloch, on Friday, 26th February, as part of his working visit made in Romania.

The two officials had a talk on the current status of the bilateral cooperation and its development perspectives in the context of the good existing relations between Romania and Poland, as part of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries. Also, the officials tackled topics listed on NATO and EU agenda with a view of harmonizing the positions of the two countries.

Today's meeting was a good opportunity to approach aspects related to the consolidation of the security on the Alliance Eastern Flank, in the context of an unpredictable and unstable security environment.

The meeting was also attended by the State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru.
