State Secretary for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Simona Cojocaru, inaugurated on Wednesday, 14th April, the Exhibition Women, peace and security. The photographic exhibition organized for the first time is dedicated to the professional activity of the women working in the Department for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations (DDPPIR) an their essential contribution to the accomplishment of the objectives related to the Romanian Armed Forces foreign missions and our national contributions within NATO and EU, provision of resources and planning, the relation with the foreign partners and the constant and productive dialogue at bilateral and multilateral levels.

The event was organized as part of the reunions of the gender advisers from the Ministry of National Defence. The state secretary restated, in the presence of the gender advisers and the rest of the invitees, the importance of the women in the prevention of settlement of the conflicts and in the peace - building process. At the same time, the Romanian dignitary appreciated the entire work of the women working in the Department for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations and offered her support in the implementation of the principles of the of the United Nations Organization Security Council's Resolution no. 1325, Women, Peace and Security.
