Multinational Exercise NOBLE JUMP 2021

Over 4,000 Romanian and allied soldiers with almost 600 pieces of equipment will participate in Multinational Exercise NOBLE JUMP 2021, which is to be conducted over 19th May-2nd June 2021, on Romanian territory.

Planned by Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and coordinated by Joint Forces Command Naples, Exercise NOBLE JUMP 21 is the third stage of Exercise NATO STEADFAST DEFENDER 21 , which consists of NATO forces training and preparation sequences, by deploying them to Romania at short notice.

Within NOBLE JUMP 21, the Headquarters Multinational Division South-East (HQ MND-SE) facilitates the deployment of the ground component of the VJTF, on Romanian territory. In this context, six military convoys of the Turkish contingent of the VJTF entered Romania through Giurgiu border crossing point, today, 20th May, after transiting Bulgaria.

The 250 soldiers with 125 pieces of equipment will station in Bucharest over 20th-21st May, being scheduled to displace towards the Joint National Training Center Getica from Cincu, Brasov County, on Friday, 21st May.

The road traffic on the displacement routes of the convoys can be crowded over 20th-21st May 2021, thus:
• 20th May 2021, between10:45-19:15, on route Giurgiu - Bucharest (E85);
• 21st May 2021, between 06:00-20:15, on route Bucharest - Pitesti (A1) - Ramnicu Valcea (E81) - Valea Oltului - Cincu.

Exercise NOBLE JUMP 21 consists in the deployment of the ground component of the VJTF on road, rail, air, and maritime ways on Romanian territory, the final destination being the Joint National Training Center Getica from Cincu.

The exercise mainly consists in multinational training activities specified in the CET-FIT training programs (Combat Enhancement Training - Force Integration Training).
